Ernie has lived and worked in Iowa City since graduating from Iowa State University in 1967. He owned E.G. Construction from 1969-1986. Ernie obtained his Real Estate Sales license in 1986 and Brokers license in 1989. In 1991, Ernie received "The REALTOR of the Year Award." In 1992, Ernie became a partner in Lepic-Kroeger, REALTORS®. He has earned his ABR, ABRM, CRB, CRS, e-PRO and GRI designations. Ernie has served as President of the REALTOR and Homebuilders Associations, Chairman on the Iowa City Board of Adjustment and was a Director on the School Board for the Iowa City Community School District. Ernie was named "Associate of the Year 2000" by the Homebuilders Association of Iowa City. Ernie.s wife, Heidi, taught German at West High School for 32 years. They have 4 children; Natasha, Kate, Kara and Nathan and 6 grandchildren.
